Health Tools

Privacy Policy

This policy describes how HealthTools handles information when you use our website, mobile application, or ChatGPT plugin. Test answers and results can contain sensitive information about your health or circumstances. Please consider this before sharing them.

1. Accounts and Information You Provide

HealthTools does not require a HealthTools account, name, or email address to complete a test. Using the ChatGPT plugin requires access to ChatGPT, which has its own account requirements and privacy practices.

2. Test Answers and Results

Your selected answers are processed within the app or browser to calculate scores and interpretations. HealthTools does not provide account-based storage or retrieval of completed test history. The HealthTools server that supplies the ChatGPT plugin does not receive completed test answers or results from the widget; sharing with ChatGPT happens separately as described below.

3. Information Shared With ChatGPT

When the plugin runs in a connected ChatGPT widget, it automatically shares information about the tests you open and complete with ChatGPT. Completed assessments include the test identity, completion time, questions, answer options, selected answers, calculated scores, and interpretation. All tests completed in the active widget can be included so ChatGPT can answer follow-up questions and compare results.

This sharing happens after a test is completed; it does not require clicking Explain my result. That button sends a follow-up message to ChatGPT after sharing succeeds. When you download a PDF inside ChatGPT, its file-download services may also process the report.

OpenAI handles information received by ChatGPT according to its Privacy Policy and your account settings. HealthTools does not control OpenAI's retention or use of that information. Using HealthTools outside ChatGPT does not activate this plugin sharing.

4. Analytics and Technical Information

The mobile application uses Firebase Analytics to report usage events, such as starting, restarting, finishing, or leaving a test. These events can include the test's identifier, title, category, and progress counts. The website uses Google Tag Manager for configured analytics tags and usage events. Analytics services may process device, browser, network, and usage information, including through cookies or similar technologies. Google's handling of information is described in its Privacy Policy.

Requests to our website and plugin server also involve technical information needed to deliver the service, such as network addresses and requested URLs. Hosting providers process these requests. This technical information is separate from the completed answers and results shared directly with ChatGPT. HealthTools does not retain hosting logs of website or plugin requests.

5. Retention and Your Choices

The plugin keeps its assessment history in the active widget. Closing or reloading the widget clears that local collection, but does not delete information already shared with ChatGPT or included in a conversation. Use ChatGPT's data controls to manage information held by OpenAI.

To complete a test without sharing its answers and results through the ChatGPT integration, use the standalone HealthTools website or mobile app. Downloaded PDFs remain wherever you save or share them; you are responsible for managing those copies. Browser and device privacy settings can also affect cookies and analytics.

6. Security

No online service or device can guarantee absolute security. Keep your devices and accounts secure, and take care when downloading or sharing reports that contain sensitive information.

7. Children's Privacy

HealthTools is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as HealthTools changes. Updates will be published on this page.
